Well, today I left work a couple hours early and went with my Dad down to the DMV. I filled out the paperwork and then began the wait for the driving test. Finally my name was called and I went outside to take the test. I did well in the preliminary test (u-turn and 3-point turn...harder than it looks in a big Suburban beast), and then waited my turn for the drive with the judge. I actually started up the conversation with the judge, and my drive went smoothly. I was most worried about parking at the end, but that turned out just fine. I got out of the car with a big smile and a signature on my paper saying I could have a driver's license! Happy Day Ü !

After getting up at 3am to drive to the airport (thanks Paul & Becky!) then flying to Arizona and gathering with family and friends Joseph opened the call. WISCONSIN MILWAUKEE mission on March 2nd. His mission covers the eastern half of Wisconsin and the tip of Michigan nestled up between Lake Michagan and Lake Superior across the lake from Canada.

Well, is it in there?

We thought for sure there would be something in here today...but we were wrong. The good news is that tomorrow is the 10th and that is my guess for when it will come...so here is hoping!

Today Daniel turned twelve. Here he is reading the emails from his wonderful missionary grandparents in Chile and South Africa. He enjoyed the presents and his french toast for breakfast. For dinner he wanted breakfast burritos...so the smell of bacon was in our home tonight...aaahhhh!

Daniel had a soccer game tonight starting at about 4:45-5:55pm...it was cool to begin with but when the sun went down we were glad to have blankets with us. You can see Diana all bundled up in the Levi blanket she made me. I know to all of you in the northern climes 40-50 degrees is not cold...but to us it was very cold. Daniel's team won, by the way.

The papers are in Salt Lake City as of the 28th of November. So we are all wondering when the call will come and where Joseph will go. Why not comment on this post and let's see who is right...guess what day the call will arrive and where he will go.
