Find out now!

Find out now!

Well, I finally opened my mission call yesterday (Saturday). I am called to serve in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission, speaking the Danish language and leaving the 20th of June! I am very excited, although that waiting time seems very long Ü. One of my leaders told me that I could probably learn the language before I go to the MTC.

I looked at the map of my area, and it shows that Greenland and Iceland are included with the Denmark mission. Amazing!

I know that this is where I am supposed to go. Thank you for being such great examples to me.

Love,
Elder Mike Free

I have finally decided to try and do this blog thing. It is new for me, so hopefully it works. If it does, I may try a few photos next.

It's HERE!

Ahh! My mission call is here! I came home for lunch today to find it sitting on my bed! I am so excited! I guess we will have to find out tomorrow where I will be going, thanks to Mom and Dad Ü. They are in Mexico, having a blast, when I am here jumping up and down, waiting for them to show up. I don't think it is too late to start guessing...so...go for it! Think of it this way: you will get the date right!

"Ready for Assignment", that is what the church's web site says about Michael! So, now is the time to start guessing. Just add a comment to this post and tell where you think he will go. You can also guess on what date you think his call will come if you want. I'm guessing that it will arrive on Feb 2nd and he will be called somewhere in Germany!

Suzanne and Aunt Patty at the family meal. We all enjoyed the warmth of the building and especially the warmth of our visit. Paul, Ric, Jodie, Brenda and I (Kirt) enjoyed wonderful visits with Chris and Dennis Marriott, Steve and Jeri May, Deanne and Steve Knuckles, Richard (Rich) May and of course, Aunt Patty. More pictures are available (we'll send them to Joe so they can be posted on the family blog in the coming week).

It was an extremely cold morning. Temperature was maybe in the low teens, but with the breeze/wind it felt... well, very cold. We don't think that Uncle Bob wanted us to stay there very long so he sent the cold weather. Rich May is by the corner of the tent along with Deanne and Chris May.

Steve May asked Paul and Ric to serve as pallbearers. Uncle Bob was buried next to his parents in a cemetary just south of the Jordan River Temple.
